About
My name is Jessica Zehr and I am a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist and Board Certified Nurse Coach. While I have been trained in a variety of massage modalities, I prefer the effective nature of light-medium touch massage utilizing therapeutic techniques to either promote relaxation or provide relief from chronic pain. I truly believe that massage therapy does not need to be painful to be effective, and in fact can be more effective when it is performed with little to no pain. I also specialize in prenatal, postpartum, and infant massage.
As an RN, I offer holistic coaching services, supporting all areas of health and wellness including physical, spiritual, mental, occupational, and relationships. I specialize in functional medicine and am also trained in cannabis for medicinal uses. I serve Lewis and Jefferson Counties in Northern NY, including by not limited to: Lowville, Watertown, Carthage and Fort Drum.

Therapeutic Massage
This session can range from strictly relaxation to pain management to a combination of both. During your time I will integrate a variety of techniques to promote both relaxation and treat trouble areas, tailoring your massage specifically to you and your needs.

Prenatal and Postpartum Massage
As a trained and certified prenatal and postpartum massage therapist, this session is designed for you based your unique needs during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Early on in pregnancy you can lie on the massage table as you would prior to pregnancy. As your pregnancy progresses, the massage will transition to a comfortable and nurtuting side-lying position where you will be supported with pillows and bolsters. Postpartum massage positioning and accomdations will vary based on what is comfortable for each individual client.

Hot Bamboo Massage
Using hot sticks of bamboo this massage treatment like none other! Like all sessions, the massage is tailored to the client and can vary from strictly relaxation while the smooth bamboo warms your muscles and glides smoothly over your skin, to a deep tissue session allowing the heat of the bamboo to soften the mucles allowing for deeper work into the muscles and surrounding tissues.

Chair Massage
Utilizing a massage chair, clients receive a neck, back, arms and hands massage all while fully clothed. This is a great session for those who have never received massage and want to get an idea of how it feels, or for those that don't have the time for a table massage, but are still in need of a massage. Sessions last between 5-20 minutes.
Cost: $1/minute (5 minute minimum)
Infant Massage Instruction
As a Certified Infant Massage Instructor I come into your home, or you come to my office if you prefer, and I instruct you on how to massage your baby. The session typically takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on your baby's needs throughout the session. You will receive an instructional booklet, with a step by step guide and pictures demonstrating the massage techniques that you learned. You provide a non-scented, cold pressed oil to use on your baby.

Holistic Nurse Coaching
As a holistic nurse coach, I offer whole person health coaching using my knowledge as a registered nurse combined with my knowledge of functional medicine. I see my clients as whole people who don't need to be fixed, but need to be supported to become the healthiest version of themselves. In nurse coaching we don't only focus on physical health, but we also prioritize all dimensions of health such as mental, emotional, spiritual, relational, financial, occupational and more. Anything that affects your life is of value and can become part of your coaching session. Together we co-create goals that work for you rather than me just telling you what do to. Using my functional medicine background, I am able to help my clients uncover root causes to their conditions, create healthier lifestyles, and potentially reduce their need for pharmaceutical treatment if that is what they desire. Free consults are available to all potential clients to determine if coaching is a good fit for both of us.

Placenta Services

In recent years there has been a resurgence in the western world of women who choose to ingest their placentas after giving birth for the reported health benefits. As a certified Placenta Arts Specialist trained through the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts, I have been trained in how to safely prepare placentas for ingestion by method of encapsulation or tincture. I have been trained in safety and santitation according OSHA standards for Blood Born Pathogens. Cord keepsakes, photos and placenta prints are also available.
