Mother's Day and Infertility

Mother's day is coming up and for the woman struggling with infertility, I want you to know that I see you.

I see your pain and grief.

I know that this holiday is one of the most painful holiday's of the year.

I know that you may be wondering if it will ever be your turn.

I know that if you attend church, that you may decide to skip that day. I also want you to know that that is okay.

I understand what it feels like to celebrate and appreciate the mother's in your life while grieving the absence of that in your own life.

I understand the bitterness that creeps in, the tears, and how wanting to become a mom consumes every. waking. thought.

I know because I've been there too.

Nothing I can say will take away your pain, but please know that on Mother's Day, you are in my heart and on my mind. You are not invisible, you are not forgotten and you are not unworthy.
